Fans of Days of our Lives alum Charles Shaughnessy (ex-Shane Donovan) will want to race to sign up for Passionflix, because the steamy streaming service is about to premiere Driven Season 2, which features the actor in an integral role.
A follow-up to Driven, based on the series of books by the same name by author K. Bromberg, this second installment of the heart-racing love story explores the razor-thin line of passion and pain in the relationship between racecar legend Colton and his lover Rylee, played by Michael Roark (ex-Travis Crawford, The Young and the Restless) and Olivia Applegate, respectively.
As can be seen in the trailer (below), Rylee and Colton will work toward understanding how the pain of their pasts is affecting their ability to love in the present, with Colton's dad (Shaughnessy) helping to illuminate important moments from the complicated character's childhood.
Driven Season 2 will roll out on Passionflix in four weekly episodes starting Thursday, July 22. In anticipation of the release, Passionflix is offering fans a $2 discount off the first three months of new subscriptions with the code RACEYOU.
For fans who are wondering about the third installment of Driven, director Tosca Musk was reportedly able to film season two and three of the series back to back, so there shouldn't be much of a delay in Passionflix releasing the third season at some point in the future. As shared by the series' official Instagram page, Shaughnessy will also be starring in season three, which will be based on Bromberg's third Driven book, Crashed.
Charles Shaughnessy played the role of DAYS' Shane on-again, off-again from 1984 to his most recent appearance in 2017.
