It's almost time to know who got a nod for this year's Daytime Emmys. Learn how you can get some answers early.

The Daytime Emmy nominations will officially be announced at 12pm ET on Friday, April 19, but Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and E! News will preview certain categories when it airs on the evening of April 18. This is the second year that the academy has offered nominee previews on entertainment news shows.

The Daytime Emmys official X (formerly known as Twitter) account broke the news of the upcoming nods the morning of April 17, with fans excited and keeping their fingers crossed for their favorites to be on the list.

This year, the awards will be minus a category. In 1985, NATAS created two categories for male and female younger performers. In 2019, the categories combined so that male and female performers competed against one another.

However, in January, Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series was eliminated altogether, making General Hospital's Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) the last actress to win a Daytime Emmy specifically for young stars.

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmys will be held June 7, 2024, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. That's not even six months after the last Daytime Emmy Awards took place. However, the 50th annual ceremony was delayed last year due to the Writers Guild of America strike.
